Imagine Truth of Pedo-Priests Coming Out in Spite of Church PR

I am going through all the notes from 4 years of doing City of Angels Blog and finding gems, many will be posts in 2012.

In process I'm also going through the blog from the beginning in January 2007.

Just found this in April 27, 2008 post at City of Angels 4 2008.

IMAGINE: The true story comes out, including whatever the church is covering up so desperately that they allowed these pedophiles to get at us. Imagine the truth of the total damage to the victims comes out, in spite of the power of PR, pseudo-advocacy, and media control, whatever tactics the church has used, from the start, to shoot down the crime victims and keep the true felonies performed on children from ever being public.

Finding Gems

In my notes from last five years are dozens of posts that never got written, need only a few tweaks before publishing. So when City of Angels Blog returns full speed in January 2012, we will publish those gems from 2007 to 2011.

Catch 22 for Church, early insight at City of Angels

Don’t sue us, says the Church, we'll pay out of court. Then only data on pedophile priests that Church counts is from lawsuits.

Only an omnipotent organization operating outside the law like the Catholic Church can carry out a Catch 22 like this: Archdioceses offer victims help with therapy as a way to "heal" without having to file lawsuits. Then when it cooks up its statistics on pedophile priests, the Church only counts successful lawsuits.

Ordaining Female Priests OK with Vatican

Since they say ordaining women is "on a par with clergy abuse," the Catholic Church must think female priests are okay, as the Vatican has barely responded one way or the other about its pedophile priests. -ke

From Huffington Post story linked below:

"Last year, the Vatican made ordaining a woman one of the gravest canonical crimes, on par with sexually abusing a child."

They call both priest pedophilia and ordaining women "grave canonical crimes" but then let pedophile priests remain in the clergy. In fact, a Catholic priest has the power to forgive all crimes, so any criminal activity involving a priest is forgivable, so go ahead and start ordaining women...

The former priest, now 63, pleaded guilty in 2007 to 12 felony counts of oral copulation with a person under the age of 18 for abusing two boys he met at parishes in Pico Rivera and Los Angeles. Baker did not plead guilty to any sexually violent offenses when he entered his pleas four years ago and therefore cannot qualify as a sexually violent predator under state law.

Not only do the bad guys win, thanks to a court system that's broken, but bloggers like me get sabotaged so we can no longer speak.

(No, Mr. Church Attorney, I'm not blogging. But now and then I see something in the news I want to share, I won't send it out to my lists, or promote it, and that's the damage you are trying to prevent, so don't get riled up over this post...)

You may agree with what the British bishop says in the link below, but it's too late, the Catholic messenger is no longer credible:

But, hey, those Scriptures are in the Bible, man, bishops and cardinals are already educated so why read the Bible, especially when they memorized it in college... Also, Catholic Church leaders have more important things to do, such as preparing for depositions, and meeting with private investigators they've hired to find ways to destroy pedophile priest victims. . .
